This is how we became established

Local Environmental Contractors is a 100% black owned. Local Environmental Contractors is a B-BBEE level 1 Contributor: 135%. Procurement Recognition with 100% Black ownership.

Our success and strength lies in a broad diverse skill-set each team member brings. Our collective experience within the environmental field and well-developed business relationships with other players in the field, enable us to tailor our solutions to suit our client's needs.

The company was established with the aim to be developed into a multi-skilled service provider in the Environmental and Agricultural Services. Our services are tailored to provide Consulting support to Mining industries, Government Authorities and other Private sectors.

Our technical staff and support team includes Environmental Scientists, Ecologists, Geohydrologist and Water Scientists, Agricultural Engineering and Surveyors. Our clients benefit from the wealth of knowledge and expertise from our professional staff.

Rehabilitation Design, Erosion control and Revegetation

To ensure a self-sustainable ecosystem on a rehabilitated mined land, a scientific approach is required.

L a n d r e h a b i l i t a t i o n r e q u i r e s a multidisciplinary project approach (understanding of final land use objective, tailored closure design to help meet intended objective, reshaping and storm water control, soil amelioration, revegetation and afforestation, or final cover maintenance and the required monitoring), this will help the client to be issued with the closure certificate, whilst achieving the intended land use objective.

S u r v e y S e r v i c e s ( Land and Bathymetric Survey)

Local Environmental Contractors have in-house capacity to conduct volumetric surveys and landscape profile geometry using latest technologies, inclus ive of Drones , sophi s ticated methodologies and systems (CAD) which are capable to manage and interpolate high number of data points to make the assessment model augmented with high degree of steadily maintained accuracy.

We would like to emphasize that we generate reliable volumetric survey data and report.

OUR. CURRENT. PROJECT.

This is the current project we are working on at the moment

Local Environmental Contractors is currently running a MULTI-YEAR contract at Bushveld Vametco.

We are also engaged in another project with Northam Mine where we provide Bush Cutting and Parameter Fence Cleaning:
As part of our contract we are offering the following services to Bushveld Vametco:
1. Spillage Control

Spillage Control is an essential part of ensuring that recoveries are maximised and production loss is minimised. Any plant operation needs to be maximised and as such requires maximising throughout the facility. Bottlenecks and spillages of production may occur so to ensure that losses are minimised the spillage will require cleaning and fed back through the process by means of dissolution, screening, etc.
2. Water Sampling

BVA surface water sampling points include reservoirs, wastewater storage facilities, open pit seepages and adjacent stream. Similar to groundwater sampling, surface water samples are to be sampled monthly as required by BVA WUL conditions and the expected output includes:

1. Taking water samples using sampling apparatus provided by the mine.
2. Inspect the condition of the sampling points.
3. Record water Temperature, Electronic Conductivity, pH, and Turbidity.
3. Environmental Cleaning

We offer specialised contract cleaning services to a range of customers. We have a unique approach that combines waste and environmental management with traditional maintenance cleaning.
